No smoking policy | Guests

All of our Vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. We prohibit guests, their passengers, and vehicle hosts from smoking in any car listed on the Turo platform. This policy covers the use of, but is not limited to, any tobacco or tobacco-related products, marijuana or marijuana substitutes, e-cigarettes, or personal vaporizers.  

Guest responsibilities

You may not smoke in any car, even if you believe your host or a previous guest may have done so. If you return a car with physical evidence of smoking, your host can report the issue to Turo. When they do, the customer support team will review the required evidence. If it clearly shows physical evidence of smoking, we’ll charge you a smoking violation fee of $250 plus an additional 3% process fee and remove you from Turo. We’ll close your account, and you’ll be unable to appeal this action. 

Guest rights

You have the right to a smoke-free vehicle. If at check-in you smell any of the substances listed above, do not check in and immediately contact customer support to avoid being held responsible. In the US, call 1-415-963-4109. We’ll help you cancel the trip and find a replacement vehicle.
