Run your numbers
Enter what you make in a normal week. We'll subtract the rental so you can see what's left before you commit to anything.
These are your numbers, not a projection from us. We only know the rental price. This isn't an earnings estimate, and it leaves out taxes, tickets, and anything else you spend.

Not just rideshare
Plenty of our renters aren't working. Their car's off the road, they're between vehicles, or they just need something reliable week to week. Same cars, same rates, no rideshare paperwork.
You don't need to drive for Uber, Lyft, or DoorDash to rent from us. Nobody will ask what you're using it for.
If your car is being repaired after an accident, many auto policies include rental reimbursement. Worth checking before you pay out of pocket — we'll give you whatever paperwork your insurer asks for.
Weekly billing, unlimited miles in New York, $250 deposit. Renew as long as you need the car.
Before you come in
01
Any US state, held at least one year. TLC plates aren't required — and you don't need to be driving for an app at all.
02
Bring your declarations page or have it on your phone. We'll take a copy at pickup.
03
Debit or credit in your own name. Refunded after return, minus any damage or tickets.
04
We check your rental history and your driving record — not your credit. Most people are approved before they finish coffee.
Straight answer
Most rental sites bury this. Here it is in plain language, because a surprise at claim time is worse than a surprise at booking.
Start to keys
Four steps. You can finish the first three from your phone before you ever drive out to Bay Shore.
Live availability. The price you see is the price you pay.
Upload your license and sign the authorization. Nothing gets checked until you sign.
Not a credit check. We look at how past rentals went — returned on time, paid up, no damage left behind — and pull your motor vehicle record.
Walk-through and photos with a real person. Keys same day if you're in before 5:00 PM.
Most rental counters judge you on a credit score that has nothing to do with how you treat a car. We use RentFAX, a rental-industry consumer reporting agency, so what counts is how your past rentals actually went.
Every renter has a file. Here's what's in it.
You authorize the check yourself, by name, before anything is requested. No signature, no report.
Everything an operator sees, you can see too — free, at rentfax.io, whenever you want.
Think a line is wrong? File a dispute and we're required to investigate and answer it.
Return on time and paid up and that record follows you to the next operator, not just the bad news.
Urban Rentals NYC and RentFAX are under common ownership. We're disclosing that because RentFAX is the consumer reporting agency whose report we use to make rental decisions, and you're entitled to know who that is and who owns it. RentFAX operates as an independent reporting agency serving multiple rental operators, and Urban Rentals uses it under the same terms and the same dispute process as any other operator. Asked constantly
Yes — every car we rent is approved for rideshare and delivery work, whichever one you end up in, and we'll give you the paperwork those platforms ask for.
No. A lot of our renters just need a car — theirs is off the road, or they're between vehicles. Same cars, same rates, and we don't ask what you're using it for as long as it stays in New York.
Many auto policies include rental reimbursement after a covered accident. Check your policy or ask your adjuster. If you have it, we'll provide the rental agreement and receipts your insurer needs. We can't bill your insurance directly — you pay us and they reimburse you.
No. We check two things: your rental history through RentFAX — whether past rentals came back on time, paid, and undamaged — and your motor vehicle record, which is your state driving record. If you've rented responsibly before, that helps you here even if your credit doesn't. You authorize both by signing before anything is pulled.
An unpaid balance, unresolved damage, or a late return goes on your rental record with us, kept through RentFAX, and it's what we look at when you rent again. A rental that ends clean generates nothing negative. If you think something we reported is wrong, you can dispute it through RentFAX and we're required to look into it.
As long as you keep renewing it. Everything bills by the week — there's no contract, no minimum number of weeks, and no penalty for stopping. Drivers who keep the same car for months and drivers who take one week both pay the same weekly rate. To renew, call or text before your return time; the only thing that gets in the way is the car already being promised to someone else, and returning late costs more than renewing does.
15 Newbrook Ln in Bay Shore. The Bay Shore LIRR station is a short ride away, and we'll tell you the closest stop when you book. If you're coming from Nassau or the city, allow extra time on the Southern State — plan to arrive before 5:00 PM if you want keys the same day.
Miles are unlimited anywhere in New York State — the five boroughs, out to the Hamptons, wherever the work is. Run Suffolk-to-Manhattan every day if that's where your money is; there's no odometer reading at return and no per-mile charge to worry about. The cars stay in New York State. Out-of-state travel is by request and requires management approval and a credit card on file — no debit cards. Tolls are billed back to you.
It gets billed to the card on file with a $25 processing fee per ticket, and we forward you the original notice so you can contest it if you want to. We don't mark anything up beyond that fee. Leave it unpaid and it becomes an unpaid balance, which does get reported.
